Management team
First Super is managed by a Trustee, First Super Pty Ltd (ABN 42 053 498 472). The Trustee is responsible for ensuring First Super is managed in accordance with the trust deed and the relevant law. The Trustee holds professional indemnity insurance.
Greg Everett joined First Super as Deputy CEO in November 2025. Greg was appointed Acting CEO as from 26 March 2026.
As Acting CEO, Greg is responsible for the strategic direction of the Fund, its operations, and all aspects of investment management.
Greg will be working with the First Super Board, his colleagues in the Trustee office and administrator, SBA to bring to life the fund of being big enough to perform but small enough to care.
Prior to joining First Super, Greg has held senior executive positions across the financial services and superannuation industry over the past 20 years, including leading the Superannuation Trustee Office for Guild Group, the Member Engagement division of ESSSuper and the Financial Planning business for Bendigo bank.
Greg holds an MBA and RG146.
Andrew Jewell’s experience within the financial services sector has encompassed superannuation, insurance, retail banking and financial planning. Andrew has held managerial and senior roles across various distribution channels, requiring strategic and business planning and operational skills.
He brings to the Fund experience in successful leadership through various business transformations and creating high-performing teams that are member focused.
He is responsible for providing strategic leadership to First Super’s Financial Advice team and the Retirement Income Strategy to guide and inform our members.
Andrew holds a Senior Executive MBA, Bachelor of Business (Marketing), Post Graduate Diploma of Financial Planning and is an accredited Prince 2 Practitioner.
Laurie is an experienced financial services risk professional with a demonstrated ability to translate and embed a corporate governance vision into a comprehensive risk framework and readily executable program. The role is responsible for Internal Audit, Operational Risk Management, and Financial Governance.
Exposure to highly regulated environments has enabled Laurie to disseminate and summarise complex risk concepts and information to board directors, senior executives, and stakeholders. This information is relied upon to facilitate effective and prudent decision making for the good governance of the fund and protection of member’s entitlements.
Laurie holds a Bachelor of Business (Accounting), and is a Certified Practising Accountant, and a Senior Associate of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia.
With four decades of experience in superannuation and investment management, Chris possesses deep expertise in governance, portfolio management, monitoring and investment manager evaluation. He has served as a Chief Investment Officer, Board Director, and Investor Representative Committee member. His experience covers equities, fixed income, credit, property, infrastructure, and alternatives, with a proven track record of delivering strong long-term returns and strengthening governance frameworks.
His experience in investment management includes managing various internal portfolios across, Cash, Fixed interest, Australian equities and commercial properties.
He has worked across Government, Industry and Corporate super funds in various senior executive positions and was previously CIO of MIESF. He has been a Board Director for infrastructure funds and an Investment Committee member for commercial property funds.
Chris holds an Executive MBA from the Melbourne Business School / University of Melbourne and is a CPA.
Jeremy brings extensive experience in governance, risk management, and organisational resilience across diverse sectors including legal, local government, not-for-profit, and financial services.
He has held senior leadership roles for over a decade, specialising in strengthening governance frameworks, embedding robust risk controls, and driving organisational transformation. Jeremy’s career includes executive responsibility for governance, risk and operational functions, as well as serving as Company Secretary for a local government enterprise.
In addition to his professional roles, Jeremy contributes to the community as Chair and Non-Executive Director of a social enterprise in the IT and e-waste sector, reflecting his commitment to sustainability and social impact.
Jeremy is passionate about building resilient organisations, enhancing governance practices, and fostering ethical and transparent decision-making.
He holds a Bachelor of Laws and Criminology from Deakin University, holds a Corporate Practicing Certificate in Victoria, and has an Advanced Diploma of Applied Corporate Governance and Risk Management from the Governance Institute of Australia.
