KiwiSaver Acceptance Letter (KSAL)

To kick-start your KiwiSaver transfer, you’ll need to provide your KiwiSaver fund our KiwiSaver Acceptance Letter (KSAL).

This letter confirms to your KiwiSaver fund that First Super is a KiwiSaver accepting fund and we can accept your KiwiSaver transfer to Australia.

NOTE*: ANZ KiwiSaver and Booster KiwiSaver require additional documents. You can download these at the same time as your KSAL.

Before you download your KSAL, you must be a member of First Super.

Simply join online and make note of your Member Number as you’ll need this to download the KSAL.

Important information and terms

I acknowledge that I have read the KiwiSaver fact sheet and understand that in applying for my funds to be transferred from New Zealand to First Super, the following applies:

• First Super will charge a $199 fee to administer the transfer, which will be deducted from my account after the funds are allocated to my First Super account.
• There are limited superannuation funds in Australia that can accept KiwiSaver transfers. Therefore, I will have limited ability to transfer my KiwiSaver funds from First Super to another fund in Australia.
• KiwiSaver rules about when I can access my KiwiSaver funds are different to Australian rules. Therefore, I will be unable to access my KiwiSaver funds until I reach age 65 or meet another condition of release.
• The transfer of funds from New Zealand to Australia will be subject to the exchange rate applied by the bank or my KiwiSaver fund in addition to any fees and charges applied by my KiwiSaver fund.
