Retirement Health Check

As you start planning your retirement, you need to check how your super is tracking. This allows you to identify what’s going well, what you need to focus on and what strategies could help you make the most out of your retirement.

A quick Retirement Health Check could become your essential retirement planning tool.

Answering your most common questions

Our Retirement Health Check has been set up just for First Super members to address the most common questions you have about super.

  • How much do we need to retire?
  • What sort of lifestyle can I afford in retirement?
  • Am I eligible for the Age Pension?
  • How long will my super savings last?
  • Do I have enough super?

If you’ve ever asked yourself any of these questions, then a Retirement Health Check will help you.

Best of all you’ll speak with one of our Financial planners and the cost is already included in your First Super administration fee. So you don’t pay anything extra.

We can include your spouse / partner even if their super is elsewhere. It’s another benefit of being a First Super member.

What to expect

Change your life in less than an hour with our Retirement Health Check. It couldn’t be easier. All you need to do is book an appointment, and get together a couple of details including:

  • your income details, and your partner’s income
  • the value of your combined assets like house, cars or investments
  • any large costs you might be planning in retirement

Call 1300 360 988 to arrange an online call, at a time that suits you. 30 to 45 minutes is usually plenty of time. Before the meeting we’ll look into your super balance, contributions and investment choice and do some background work for you. During our meeting you’ll find out how your super is tracking, if you may be eligible for the Age Pension and how much this could give you in retirement. After the meeting you’ll receive your projections as well as a report confirming what we discussed.

Next steps after your Retirement Health Check

After your Retirement Health Check, you may like to get more detail on certain aspects of your super, or even your partner’s super. Our financial planners can also help with this.

We like seeing our members make the most of their super. Our Financial planners don’t earn commissions, so you can rest assured that the advice they give you is in your best interest.

I don’t have much savings?

Some members with smaller balances worry that advice services aren’t for them – but actually the opposite can be true!

When you include the Age Pension, a small super balance (and any other savings you might have) can be budgeted very effectively to give you a dignified retirement lifestyle.

WE’RE HERE TO HELP. SO LET’S TALK.
